Manuscript author and director Grete Salomonsen working with Yohan

The manuscript has brought praise and enthusiasm from the film industry, not the least of which, the distributor.

Grete Salomonsen’s manuscript has also created enthusiasm from everyone who now contributes to the production:

The manuscript was exciting to read and I couldn’t stop until I was finished.

This will become a major film.

We will sit glued to our seats in the movie theater.

The movie’s main character is talented Yohan, 10 years old.  He not only must survive among the dangerous bears and wolves in the forests of Agder, but also among the difficult people.  This is the story about a boy who inspires us to keep striving and doing what is right.

The film will show how many lived in Agder at the end of the 1800’s.  Against all odds, Yohan overcomes despite endless poverty and many challenges.

The film mixes the ingredients of jealousy, the pressure to conform, love, and the conflict between good and evil.  It is a film with a historic background, appealing to both the emotions and the intellect.

Grete Salomonsen (pen name) Hynnekleiv previously adapted the book Kamilla and the Theif to two film scripts, which she then directed.  Kamilla and the Theif I and II have become bestselling DVD classics among Norwegian family movies.
